Part of a whole house renovation, this living room was significantly opened up by removing key walls, creating a more seamless flow between areas. The large, imposing stone fireplace was replaced with a sleek, contemporary fireplace integrated into a newly designed feature wall. This wall now boasts elegant built-in shelving, providing both storage and display space, transforming a previously empty wall into a functional and aesthetically pleasing focal point. The carpet was replaced with beautiful hardwood flooring and the wooden stair railing was updated to a modern wire railing, dramatically improving sightlines and creating an open and airy ambiance. The dark ceiling fan was replaced with a more modern, light-colored fan, and the overall color palette shifted to lighter, more contemporary tones, completing the stunning transition.
