This Cary bathroom remodel completely transformed the space, moving from a dated, enclosed feel to one that is bright, open, and connected with nature. The design uses a lighter tile on the shower walls and floor, creating a more expansive atmosphere, while the accent penny tile placed within the shower niches adds depth and visual interest. The old shower was replaced with a frameless glass enclosure and a curbless entry, visually integrating the shower into the rest of the room. To connect more with nature, a window was added in the shower area with a film for added privacy. A new freestanding vanity replaced the heavy built-in vanity and recessed medicine cabinet mirrors were placed above for added storage. Finally, to manage the tall, vaulted ceiling, the upper walls were painted in a complimentary green color, drawing the eye down and creating a cozier, more balanced scale.
