We’re excited to have Leslie and Mark

At Distinctive Remodeling, we have some of the best talent in the business. Our team is comprised of people who genuinely love getting up and going to work in the morning. We’re excited to welcome two of the newest members to our team, Leslie Cohen and Mark Duerst.

About Leslie Cohen

Leslie Cohen, CKD, CID, AID, ASID, is a nationally acclaimed designer, winner of 41 design awards and has been featured in more than 80 publications including Better Homes and Gardens, This Old House, Kitchen and Bath Design News and much more.

Prior to joining the Distinctive Remodeling team, Leslie was the owner and principal designer of Leslie Cohen Design for 26 years. Her firm specializes in residential renovation including kitchens, baths, and everything that is built-in to a home. Being an expert in space planning, Leslie will also help Distinctive Remodeling customers with exterior spaces, offices, and entire home renovations.

About Mark Duerst

Distinctive Remodeling welcomes our newest team member, Mark Duerst, who will be in charge of estimating. Although Mark has been in the Raleigh area for about 3 years, he comes from sunny San Diego, where he ran his own business for 27 years. Mark was an Industry Expert for the California Contractors State License Board. He has worked as an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster since he has been in NC.

His roles for Distinctive Remodeling will include coordinating pre-construction meetings with suppliers and subcontractors to get the best pricing available, collecting pricing and specifications, and compiling estimates for our projects.
