Busy, Busy, Busy

Some of you may have noticed, but I have been a bit quiet on our blog for the past couple months. I apologize for the lack of communication, but I have been spending a large amount of time on initiatives that will help our customers in the future, as well as our employees. As we speak, I am on a plane flying back home from Spain where I visited Cosentino to learn more about how their surface materials, particularly countertops, are made, fabricated and installed to give our customers years of service from their top notch products. We also just finished a remodel of our office lobby to make it a nicer place to meet customers. But the major project that has kept me occupied is the design of our new showroom at Distinctive Kitchen & Appliance World (DKAW). We are currently under construction and you can read about that in the Pardon Our Dust blog post.

In late February, I attended Nationwide Marketing Group’s Primetime meeting in Orlando, where I learned a tremendous amount about how Google searches work. We will be updating our DKAW website to provide much more information to customers wanting to know more specifics about our appliances and cabinetry, prior to going to our showroom to see them in person. Look for a new website in the coming months with all the new features incorporated. The most noticeable item will be the appliance side of the website which will house tons of information about appliances that we carry, including model numbers, specifications and pricing and availability of all the brands we carry.

In addition to that, we are preparing for our entry in the 2018 Remodelers Home Tour, which is going to feature Betsy and my townhouse that we remodeled last year when we moved to a Garner townhouse. You may have read some about our remodeling adventure last year.

So, I hope you can pardon the lack of blog posts, and I plan to be more consistent moving forward. We have more news to share about some exciting projects we are working on, as well as a Kitchen Casanova dinner coming up for Brandon & Deanna Rich later this month.
