A New Way to Grill!

Today I placed another order for a new set of Danver stainless steel cabinets. This will be the first time we will be installing a new type of grill – a wood pellet grill made by Memphis Grill. We have installed all kinds of gas grills, charcoal grills, Big Green Eggs, warming drawers, Tapanyaki griddles, but I had never heard of Memphis Grills at all. So, I needed to investigate.

Phoebe, from Atlantic Spas & Billiards, in Raleigh, had referred Paulette & Lance to us to help them with their outdoor kitchen area. Since I wasn’t familiar with the wood pellet grill, I called Phoebe up and she invited me over for a demonstration, for lunch! Now that is my kind of research!

The Memphis Grill is powered by a 110v outlet and all natural wood pellets. It has a control panel that you control just like an oven. This grill doesn’t need a gas line or charcoal. It automatically feeds the wood pellets into the burner to maintain the temperature settings that you set. The control panel has a meat probe connector that can give you readings and send them to your phone! A connected grill, what will they think of next.

After watching John, from Atlantic Spas & Billiards, cook up some steak and chicken for the fresh tacos, I was very impressed. The temperature control on those grills is truly amazing. It can function as a grill, smoker, and convection oven. So, literally, you can bake in this thing. We are looking forward to installing it as soon as the Danver cabinets arrive, and I might even get the chance to have the Kitchen Casanova cook for Paulette & Lance in their new outdoor kitchen! Stay tuned!
